Independent Home just recently completed an Arizona walk in tub installation in the city of Scottsdale for our customer Karen S. She had chosen us because of our A+ rating on the Better Business Bureau and our prices were affordable. See how the process was completed and why adding a walk in tub to your Arizona home is a great idea.

Pre-Installation Meeting

Before any installation can begin we like to meet with our customers for a pre-installation meeting. At the meeting we discuss what type of tub would best fit their needs, where the best location is, and what type of finish they want to add.

It was decided at Karen’s pre-installation meeting the celebrity walk in tub with air jet therapy would be the best option. Our experts chose this tub for Karen because she wanted to regain her independence and not require a caretaker while bathing.

The celebrity’s safety features were ideal for Karen’s needs. The tub has a wide door opening with a low threshold for an easy entrance and exit. It also has a 17” seat and an anti-slip floor to prevent a slip and fall. It also includes air jet therapy which will help reduce joint and arthritis pain.

After the pre-installation meeting it was time for our experts to prepare for the installation. The first step was removing Karen’s old tub. This involved disconnecting the old fixtures, plumbing, and taking about the foundation. The old tub was then taken to the curb.

Once the old tub was cleared out, a power source had to be found close to where the new tub would be placed. Once the power source was found, the pre-plumbing work was completed.

It was now time to begin installing Karen’s new walk in tub. Our experts placed the tub where Karen had wanted it and made sure that the legs were level. The water supply was then connected and tested for any leaks. The final step in the installation process was building the shelf around the tub.

Final Walk Through

Installing Karen’s tub only took a couple of days to complete. Our experts did a final walk through with Karen to show her how her new walk in tub worked. They also answered all of Karen’s questions about Independent Home’s life time warranty.

Customer Update

After a few weeks of having her new walk in tub, Karen reached out to say how much the tub helped her regain her dignity.  She no longer needs a care taker and is also no longer considering moving to assisted living because she is confident about getting in and out of the tub safely.
